One of the best things you can do for your pet is to keep him or her healthy by scheduling regular wellness exams and vaccinations. We base our recommendations on your pet’s age, exposure, and results of testing to provide the best medical care for your pet.
A simple way you can help keep your pet healthy is by protecting him or her against parasites. Heartworms, fleas, ticks, and other internal and external parasites are much more than just pests; they can cause life-threatening conditions in your pet and possibly cause health problems for you and your family.
Nutritional Care and Counsel
Whether your pet has a chronic condition that requires a special diet or just needs to lose some weight, Peach Orchard Veterinary Clinic offers a full line of Hill's Science Diet prescription diets. Our veterinarians and staff can work with you to determine which food is right for your pet.
While we all wish our precious pets were perfect little citizens, this is not always the case. There are many types of behavior problems, and the solutions can often be challenging. At Peach Orchard Veterinary Clinic we are here to help. Our staff can begin the process by determining if the problem is due to a medical condition, psychological or environmental problem and treat accordingly.
Advanced surgical techniques and technology are a part of our surgical care. Tailored anesthesia based on safety supporting lab tests and life saving monitoring is provided for all pets. Trained technicians offer the latest state of the art procedures and care with pre-op and intensive post operative monitoring. Monitoring of respiration, oxygen, cardiac functions and blood pressure are parameters we employ for the safety for your pets.
Orthopedic procedures are offered by board certified surgeons both at our office and at referral centers.
Imagine what your mouth would feel like if you never brushed your teeth or went to the dentist. For many dogs and cats, this is a painful reality. Overall health can be affected by dental diseases. Our doctors and trained technicians offer dental care with prevention in mind. Ultrasonic cleanings are performed on each tooth to ensure thorough cleaning. Teeth are then polished to provide a smooth surface which will discourage plaque build-up. Barrier sealants are applied to lengthen the interval between dental cleanings.
Veterinary medicine is constantly becoming more advanced and use of specialist in the fields like ophthalmology, oncology, neurology, surgery, and dermatology are readily available. They work with us routinely for providing the best care for your pets.
Emergency and Critical Care
We offer emergency care throughout the day at Peach Orchard Veterinary Clinic. If after-hours emergency care is needed, our clients can call our office phone (803) 494-8387, which is answered 24 hours per day. A doctor will return your call. In the event that we believe critical care is needed such as minute by minute monitoring, we refer clients to emergency clinics which specialize in critical care. We do not endorse hospitalization of critical care patients without 24 hour care.
